Paula Costa (Torres Novas, 1976) é licenciada em Conservação e Restauro pela Escola Superior de Tecnologia do Instituto Politécnico de Tomar em 2000, no ramo de Tecnologia, vertente de Pintura/Escultura polícroma. Iniciou o seu percurso profissional em Conservação de Fotografia como estagiária no Arquivo de Arte da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian, com a colecção do fotógrafo Horácio Novais. Posteriormente trabalhou na área de conservação de Fotografia em diversas instituições como o Arquivo Municipal de Lisboa|Fotográfico, o Museu da Terra de Besteiros em Tondela, o Museu da Imagem em Movimento em Leiria e o Arquivo Audiovisual do Santuário de Fátima. Foi co-autora dos planos de segurança e conservação preventiva de alguns dos núcleos museológicos do Ecomuseu Municipal do Seixal. Em 2012 trabalhou como bolseira de investigação do Arquivo Histórico Ultramarino/Instituto de Investigação Científica Tropical no projecto “Meio século de ciência colonial: olhares cruzados sobre o arquivo e a actividade científica da Comissão de Cartografia (1883-1936)”.

Paula Costa (Torres Novas, 1976)has a Degree in Conservation and Restoration by the Polytechnic Institute of Technology School of Tomar in 2000, in the field of Technology, in the area of Painting /Sculpture polychrome. Began her career in Photography Conservation as an intern at the Art Archive of Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, working in the collection of the photographer Horácio Novais. Later worked in the Photography conservation area in several institutions, such as the Lisbon Municipal Archive|Photographic, theTerras of Besteiros’s Museum in Tondela, the Museum of the Moving Image in Leiria and the Audiovisual Archive of the Shrine of Fatima. She was co-author of security plans and preventive conservation plans of some of the museological nucleus of Seixal Municipal Ecomuseum. In 2012 worked as a research fellow of the Overseas Historical Archive/Tropical Scientific Research Institute in the project "Half a century of colonial science: Crossed looks on the Archive and the scientific activity of the Cartography Committee (1883-1936)."
